Inspiration: Strawberry Shortcake was created from memories of the sweet dessert I enjoyed as a child, only second to a bowl of fresh strawberries. My mom made these for me all of the time, with those pre-packaged cake, fresh strawberries soaked in water and sugar then topped with Cool Whip.
